This well preserved heavy album with 55 mainly private albumen prints covers among others sujets at Tlemcen, Biskra, Algiers and in the countryside.
The photographer had a good eye for composition and framing and a special interest in some unusual subjects such as the Trappist monastery in Staouli or the house of Lady Tennison, who was an English painter and well-known traveller.
